Canfield Fair Launches App; Tractor Pull Tickets on Sale

Staff
CANFIELD, Ohio — Just in time for the 175th Canfield Fair, fairgoers can download the new Canfield Fairgrounds app as a one-stop-shop for all fair goings on.

The Mahoning County Agricultural Society, the governing board for the fair and fairgrounds, announced the app Thursday. Users can use the app to purchase admission tickets in advance, according to a press release.

The app also provides direct links to Ticketmaster for Grandstand shows, like the Darius Rucker concert on Sept. 5, as well as the Demolition Derby on Sept. 3 and Tractor Pull on Sept. 4, on sale now.

As the date of the fair gets closer, direct links to the Junior Fair livestock auctions will be made available for online bidding. This year’s fair takes place Sept. 1-6.

Other app features include a comprehensive list of all vendors and interactive GPS to help users find the vendors of their choice. Users can also pin and name locations to remind them of where they parked.

An interactive schedule allows users to plan their day and add events to their phone’s schedule. A push notification system allows alerts and updates to be sent to users in the event of an emergency.

Users can also win prizes using the app’s photo hunt challenge.

The app is available to download for free in the App Store and on Google Play. Search for “Canfield Fairgrounds.”
