KIRTLAND – Walk the Moon, Third Eye Blind, Portugal. The Man, and AJR are the headliners of the 2021 WonderStruck in Cleveland rock music festival.
The event, formerly known as LaureLive, will take place July 24-25 at Lakeland Community College in Kirtland.
Tickets are $89 for one day and $159 for a weekend pass, and go on sale at 10 a.m. April 9 at wonderstruckfest.com. Parking passes are also available at the site.
In previous years, it took place at The Laurel School near Chesterland. The festival was canceled last year because of the pandemic.
The lineup also includes Youngstown rock band The Vindys.
Lakeland Community College offers 400 acres of open-air, outdoor space to allow festivalgoers to comfortably spread out, allowing for social distancing, according to a press release from festival organizer The Elevation Group.
“This is an enormously exciting day for music fans in Ohio and the Midwest, as well as all of us associated with WonderStruck,” said Elevation president Denny Young. “The safety of our fans, artists and staff remains our top priority, but we obviously believe the time is right to make this announcement and feel confident that by the end of July, Ohio will largely be back to normal – especially in light of Governor DeWine’s announcement yesterday.”
DeWine announced on Monday that Ohio would lift its 30% capacity limits on most businesses and events, but that social distancing, increased sanitization measures and face mask mandates will remain in place.
The 2021 festival is its biggest lineup yet, according to the press release, Noah Cyrus, Tate McRae, SHAED, Jade Bird, Royal & The Serpent, LONDIN Thompson, and Akron’s Detention (High School Rock-Off winners).
For the third consecutive festival, Grammy nominee and Cleveland festival mainstay Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenu will perform. Additional artists include JP Saxe, Dayglow, Ricky Montgomery, COBI and many more.
Oher artists appearing on the festival from Northeast Ohio include LONDIN Thompson (Independence); Jack Harris (Chagrin Falls); Brent Kirby (Cleveland Heights); Jon Caryl (Mayfield Heights); wavrunner (Chagrin Falls), and The Floorwalkers (Chardon).
